insulate the loft space over two bedrooms. this is the only loft space in the house which is a converted cottage. The existing insulation is inadequate and will probably need to be removed. Due to the age the fafters are only 300mm spacing. Its not properly boarded and this could be done. It probably makes sense to remove the existing glass wool and start again

Buckingham is a town inside the north of the English county of Buckinghamshire, situated close to the borders of Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire. Having a population of around 12,043 as per the 2011 Census, Buckingham is a charming market town that mixes tradition with modern living. Originally the county town of Buckinghamshire until Aylesbury assumed this role in the 18th century. The town boasts a variety of local and chain retailers, in addition to restaurants, pubs, and weekly markets that happen on Tuesdays and Saturdays. These markets provide a range of goods, such as fresh produce to household items, keeping the community vibrant and active. Housing in Buckingham features a blend of historic buildings and contemporary developments, blending tradition with modernity. Roofing styles in this region are equally varied, with many older properties featuring slate or clay tile roofs, known for their longevity and aesthetic charm. Modern homes often use concrete tiles or flat roofs, preferred for their cost-effectiveness and practicality. Because of Buckingham’s seasonal variations, roofing issues like storm damage, moss growth, and leaks are common. Periodic check-ups by trusted local roofers ensure early detection of such problems, protecting your property from further damage. Buckingham residents have access to many skilled roofing professionals, many of whom are members of trusted trade bodies like the NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors) or TrustMark schemes. If you’re upgrading or repairing your roof, it’s vital to hire vetted and experienced tradespeople to guarantee quality workmanship. Roofing materials are easily accessible from suppliers in and around Buckingham, ensuring access to everything from traditional Welsh slate and clay tiles to modern synthetic options. If you’re upgrading for energy efficiency, local suppliers and roofers are equipped to handle your project. Buckingham is not only a town steeped in history, but it’s also a great location for home upgrades. For any roofing projects, choose vetted roofers for peace of mind.
