Pitched roof seems to be leaking in several locations, possibly slipped tiles as you can see bulges in the roofing felt and what feels like tile from underneath. Could also be a problem with flashing as one of the leaks is along wall to adjoining property where there is flashing above.

Hythe is a small coastal market town on the edge of Romney Marsh, in the District of Shepway on the south coast of Kent, England. Hythe is situated at the start of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, which follows the coastline. This historic railway, opening in 1927, operates on a 380-millimetre gauge track and stretches approximately 14 miles. According to the 2011 Census, Hythe has a permanent population of around 14,516. The town’s name originates from the Old English word meaning ‘Haven’ or ‘Landing Place’. Hythe boasts a rich heritage, with numerous historical structures, a Saxon and Norman church perched on the hill, and a Victorian seafront boardwalk. The town’s history is marked by two defensive castles, Saltwood Castle and Lympne Castle. Once a bustling Clinique Port, Hythe’s port has disappeared over the last 300 years. The Town Hall, built in 1794, features a fireplace designed by the Adam Brothers. Hythe’s medieval market, formerly held in Market Square (now Red Lion Square), has evolved into a modern Farmers’ Market that takes place every second and fourth Saturday. Properties in Hythe cater to a mix of historical and contemporary tastes, including traditional seaside homes, elegant historical properties, and stylish new builds. Roofing solutions in the area cater to these varied property types, with traditional materials like natural slate and clay tiles widely used for heritage properties and innovative materials like GRP and EPDM membranes gaining popularity for new developments. Typical roofing issues in the area include wear and tear caused by sea air, leaks in older tiled roofs, and maintenance needs for flat roofs. Local roofing professionals offer tailored solutions, including small fixes and regular upkeep, comprehensive installations, and modernisations while preserving historical details. Roofers in Hythe often hold certifications from trusted organisations like the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), ensuring high-quality craftsmanship. Homeowners are encouraged to work with reputable professionals, particularly for restorations of heritage properties or large-scale reroofing. Hythe’s proximity to quality building suppliers ensures that local roofers can source premium products quickly. Whether repairing storm damage to a Victorian home, restoring a traditional slate roof, or installing flat roofing systems on a modern build, Hythe’s roofing experts provide professional results for all property types. Blending coastal charm with historical significance, Hythe is a fantastic place to live. For all your roofing needs, rely on experienced local roofers to protect and enhance your property.
