    Hello, I am currently buying a property in gravesend and I was hoping to gather a quote on the work the needed to be completed on the roof that was picked up by the survey.

    The work identified was as follows:

    Competent roofing contractor to carry out immediate remedial repairs to the
    front valleys (evidence of internal damp penetration in the roof void and on
    the front bedroom ceiling).
    Remove all moss growth from the pitched roof coverings. Install new code 4
    lead flashings to the rear elevation wall abutment and ensure the end is
    suitably dressed into the guttering to prevent further wall saturation. Install
    tile vents in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations to mitigate
    the risk of consequential condensation decay within the roof voids.
    Make good to the rear outrigger remaining chimneystack and the parapet
    wall and ensure both are fully and appropriately waterproofed. Ensure the
    parapet edge has a suitable overhang detail to prevent further wall
    saturation. Extend the verge end to the rear outrigger so it is at least 45 mm
    past the edge to prevent further wall saturation. Replace the cracked slate
    to the front canopy roof.
