Chimney Pot/Cap safety, and Building work and Restoration for a Wood Burning Stove Installation.
* Chimney/Pot
We would like to know if our chimney cap chosen in 2017 was possibly a mistake as on the first fireplace afterwards a lot of smoke came back to the living room.
Could it be the chimney cap as it is, possibly but not sure, too narrow and we don’t know the safety regulations for the width of a chimney cap according to the length and width.
This would be the first step of the restoration of the chimney with the chimney sweeping.
* Wood Burning Stove Installation.
It is necessary to enlarge the grate to install a new wood burning stove, if it is structurally safe to enlarge it.
It would be the second and final step of the restoration for 2024.
Both steps require a home visit and inspection to deliver a quotation for both.
