We have dripping water onto our first floor which only started today althouth its possible wet was in the attic earlier. We have had to turn the boiler and all the upstairs electricity off as both the boiler and tripswitch board are inside the cupboard where the drips are.

I can’t see any loose slates or anything from outside. There is a flue to the boiler that comes out of the roof above, with leading around it. There is also a join where the roof meets a wall where the house is taller at one end. It could be either of these causing the problem. We have been having very heavy rain.

There is also a chimney which we think may well be causing a damp problem. Could this have gone further due to particularly bad rain? Although the chimney isn’t right by the leak but the other side of a big stone wall.
