    hello, we are hoping you may be able to assist in providing us a cost estimate for some roofing work. we are looking at buying a property in pool-in-wharfedale and our survey has flagged several issues with the roof of the house and detached (block) garage. we would like to try and get an understanding of the cost and duration of addressing these issues.
    below is the details we have been given from our survey.
    1. the roof is pitched and covered in concrete tiles. the roof was subject to high levels of moss growth. the moss should be removed, by mechanical means rather than pressure washing, to prevent further deterioration and blockages. the roof coverings should be checked once the moss has been removed.
    2. the roof requires repairs to ridge tile pointing. where this affects your neighbour’s property you may require their prior approval.
    3. there is a single garage. the walls to the garage are of brick construction and it has a flat roof covered in felt. the roof covering requires repairs. this will include work to roof structure. these repairs should also include a thorough examination of the roof and its structure for other defects. this examination may reveal that the roof is in need of replacement and you should obtain quotations for this work.
    would you be able to advise if the above work would be something you would be able to address and what an estimated total cost (incl. materials and labour) for this could be.
