After finding dampness in the top corner of upstairs bedroom I removed a section of plasterboard. I found there was rain water running down one of the roof gully timbers around 3ft or so from top ridge area. I have checked gully and have re-pointed some tiles & painted a roofing sealant all the way down gully but depending on severity of rain & wind etc water is still leaking in. I have been informed that possible lead sheet cracking could be responsible ? I would assume that all gully lead ( approx 12 ft ) & adjoining tiles will have to be removed to clearly assess problem.
