got small leak that only happens when wind blows certain direction. it looks like some tears in membrane under slate tiles and gaps in slate tiles as you can see light coming through in attic but membrane still intact underneath so no leaks there as such, it is where extension joins existing roof. also chimney needs lead work looking at as occasional leak there too.

Abersychan is a town in Gwent, Wales, located within the boundaries of the historic county of Monmouthshire, with a population of 7,064.
The town has two schools—Abersychan Comprehensive School and Victoria Primary School—and numerous shops and amenities, including the Abersychan Rugby Club. Abersychan is steeped in history as an industrial town during the 19th and 20th centuries, specialising in iron production. The British Iron Company built the principal ironworks in 1825, later acquired by the New British Iron Company in 1843. The Ebbw Vale Company purchased the works in 1852 but closed them in 1889. A tragic explosion at Llanerch Colliery in 1890 claimed 176 lives, leaving a lasting mark on the community.
Since 1974, Abersychan has been part of the borough of Torfaen, becoming a community in 1985. Despite this, there is no community council. The Abersychan community comprises smaller villages such as Cwmavon, Pentwyn, and Talywain.
The closest rail station is Pontypool & New Inn, located three miles away. The town previously had its own station, named Abersychan and Talywain, which is no longer operational.
For homeowners in Abersychan, repairing roofs is essential to protecting your property. The town’s mix of historic and modern homes benefits from tailored roofing solutions. Pitched roofs with slate or clay tiles are widely used, offering weather resistance. Flat roofs, used in modern builds or extensions, need regular maintenance to prevent leaks.
Common roofing issues in Abersychan include storm-related wear, with the area’s frequent rain adding to the challenges. Using materials from reliable manufacturers like Marley, Redland, or Cupa Pizarras provides high-quality solutions for roof repairs and replacements.
When choosing a roofing contractor, always compare no fewer than three trusted professionals. Membership in trade organisations like the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) or the Confederation of Roofing Contractors (CORC) ensures adherence to industry best practices.
Submit your details today to connect with trusted and professional roofers in Abersychan. Whether you need a minor repair or a major overhaul, expert assistance is easy to access. Protect your home with professional care!
