    roof type: pitched, work description: we need the tiling and chimney stack inspecting on one side of the house. we have found some damp on the interior of the chimney breast in one of the upstairs bedrooms and had a damp survey. the result of the survey is that there may have been an issue with the chimney stack or lead flashing but the previous owners of the house (we bought it very recently) may well have had it repaired. the plaster in the bedroom has already been infiltrated so will have to be knocked out in any event but we need to ensure that there are no issues with the stack, flashing and roof tiles in that area before we can commence work so that we can be sure that the problem won’t arise again. the job, therefore, is an inspection plus any repair work that is required. this is an urgent job as we already have other work booked in and deposits paid for that room (before the damp was discovered) so we need to commence work straight away.
