    We have been asked to review the load-bearing capacity of a set of existing timber trusses. These trusses appear to have been supplied by yourselves back in 1989. The proposed works are the fire compartmentation of the roof space. The work involved in doing so requires a number of operatives to work in this area and our Client would like to review what the existing trusses load-bearing capacity is. We, as Chartered Structural Engineers, have suggested to our Client that they get in touch with yourselves to initially check if you have records of the trusses installed and their loadings, and if not, if you would be able to carry out a retrospective review using your specialist’s software.
    The project is Shinewater Court in Eastbourne.
    We are due to report back to the Ultimate Client by lunchtime tomorrow. I know this is extremely short notice, however, we would be very appreciative if you could give us a call to discuss at your earliest convenience.
