I have a broken roof tile on my ‘hipped roof’ which is on the second row above the guttering. A temporary repair has been carried out by my insurance this morning and was accessed via their scaffolding tower. The broken tile sits next to a ridge tile. The repairers indicated that maybe a couple of ridge tiles would need to be removed, and that the replacement tile would need to be cut. There was also a hole in the bitumen felt which they temporarily repaired? A neighbour may be able to provide me with second hand ridge and roof tiles if required.
