    Our builders have found asbestos floor tiles under the carpet and underlay. They aren’t damaged though they have had grippers nailed into them. So there is no immediate danger from the fibres. It’s a 2 bedroom bungalow, with room meterages of:
    Lounge/diner 19.50m2
    Hall 5.72 m2
    Bedroom 1 8.87m2
    Bedroom 2 5.49 m2

    We can’t see under the tiles in the bathroom/toilet as yet, but if there are the size is 6.3 m2

    We aren’t removing the ceramic tiles in the kitchen yet, so if there are asbestos tiles underneath – they are staying put for now, and are currently sealed.

    We are only looking to have them lifted and bagged and we can then take them to the local tip, who will take them for a small fee. (they charge residents less than trades).
