I have a new house with several velux windows. One of the sets of veluxes joins with a vertical window ( also velux) and is cut into the eaves. The flashing installed around the eaves does not run down to the gutters and so rainwater pours off the side of the roof, staining the timber cladding and ground below. This flashing needs to be fixed.

Going to do a like for like replacement of a Velux skylight window GGL1 (from wood to white uPVC ) and a smaller like for like skylight wood (from wood to white wood as told cannot have white uPVC in GGL9 size).
We live in a bungalow and both windows have good access via valley gutter.
I had asked Velux to help me but they want photos of external and I do not have the correct ladders to enable this.
Seems Velux fitter does not want to do a site visit. I am not welded to Velux as a manufacturer.
I have heard Fakro just as good (much cheaper) but equally wish to avoid having to do new roof work.

we have recently moved into a 1880’s town house with a slate roof and are looking to replace one and install a further two non-opening skylights. it’s a three storey building with an attic space and there is indoor access to the windows from a landing on the third floor (approx 4 meters below the windows). depending on cost, we might also be looking to install a further two skylights in the attic space.
looking forward to hear some estimates of prices.
    kind regards,
    marie

We have a leak in our skylight. It’s an older house with a slate roof and the skylight provides light into the hall/stair area. It probably needs an overhaul.
