    I do not have a conventional loft space – my 1890 (estimate) build house has a room on the third floor. Either side of the room on external facing walls is a very small storage space. The cupboard space on one side (126 inches in length – 51 inches in height – 50 inches wide) is causing concern. The room temperature is freezing with a draught apparently coming from this space. The diagonal boarding in this space (in line with the roofing) appears to need replacing with no insulation behind it. We also have solid wall exposed in this space with no apparent insulation. We are not currently able to have our 11 month year old son sleep in this room due to the cold temperature.

    I suspect other work is required but room is a priority. I would welcome some general advice on work required and likely quotes on the work to be undertaken.
