The property is two old cottages that have been combined to form a single house. The house has two pitched roofs and a shallow pitched roof on a single story extension. The tiles appear to be interlocking concrete.
Our house buyers survey has indicated that the roof requires an overhaul or replacement.
For an overhaul the minimum we think would be required would be:
Chimney – remove all organic growth probably rebuilding part and replace the defective flaunching.
Roof to no.5 needs clearing, broken tiles replacing and the flashing to no.4 gable wall needs installing. The ridge tiles need to be checked /replaced and the roof has no verge. Could a roof verge be installed?
Rainwater goods require replacement. High capacity gutters maybe advisable.
Rotten fascia boards require replacement.
Same for roof to no.4 save that it’ll need verges to both gable.
The alternative is roof replacement and the chimney rebuilt.
